Tram Tran!
Tram Tran, a Chelsea Inversant mother, shares her excitement of learning about sending her daughter Cindy Le to college. Tram didn’t grow up in the U.S and didn’t know anything about the college process until joining the Inversant program. She tells us that she learned about Inversant through a friend who is already involved. Tram liked the idea of having a support team that would teach her about the college process as well as help her save for her daughter’s college education.
Tram attends our monthly workshops at Chelsea High School and finds it helpful to learn about how to apply to college and how to pay for college. She says that the workshops “open my eyes to all of the opportunities that are out there that I didn’t know existed before”. She shares that a higher education is important to her family because with a good education you will have a better future. She believes that her daughter won’t have to struggle as much as she did because she will have a good paying job if she goes to and graduates from college.
Cindy is a sophomore at Chelsea High School and enjoys playing volleyball for her school’s team, she also volunteers during her free time. Although only a sophomore, Cindy already knows what schools she wants to apply to and what careers she might be interested in pursuing. Boston University and Northeastern University are on her list and she hopes to become a pharmacist or a dentist. We wish Tram and Cindy the best and know they have a bright future ahead of them!
