Eugenio Gonzalez!
As a working family from Puerto Rico, Eugenio Gonzalez understands that in order to move further in life with a career you enjoy you need to obtain an education. He grew interested in joining Inversant when his daughter Lucia Gonzalez came home wanting her family to support her. Lucia first learned about the program through our partners, La Vida Scholars in Lynn. Eugenio shares that he was unsure about Lucia going to college but as they both learned more through the program, they both grew more and more interested. Eugenio says, “If she wants to go to college, I will support her and do everything I need to do to get her there.”
Eugenio and his wife attend all of the monthly workshops and believe that they learn something new every time they attend. Eugenio has enjoyed learning about different scholarships that Lucia can apply to and different colleges she can attend. “I’m given all of the information I need and I’m told what steps I need to take to help my daughter get to where she wants to be,” he shares.
Lucia is now a sophomore at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute in Lynn, where she is involved in various activities including cross-country. She is also very interested in engineering and robotics and hopes to continue learning about this in the future. Best of luck!
