Congrats to Our April Sweepstakes Winner
Erin Noon!
If there were such a thing as a “typical Inversant family,” the Noons might be it, so it’s just perfect that Erin is the April sweepstakes winner. Neither Erin nor her husband had to chance to pursue higher education. They are passionate about their sons, Benjamin and Jonathan, going college and pursuing the careers of their choice. Erin tells her boys, “If you want a career, not just a job, and you really want to become someone in life, college is the way to go.”
Erin is a staff member at KIPP Academy in Lynn and heard about Inversant from a flyer sent home from there. She was curious about the incentives and thought she might be able to learn something about how Ben, now a junior, should go about applying to schools. The Noons had not taken any steps to save for college. In fact, Erin said, “I didn’t know anything about this. I was unaware that this is something I had to start preparing for.”
Now, the Noon parents take turns attending Saving Circles. Erin said that they have been made aware of the things they should be doing and feel more confident doing them now. They started going for Ben, but they will continue going on behalf of Jon.
Erin mentioned that Ben wants to go into environmental studies and Jon wants to become a nurse. With strong support and planning like they are getting from their parents, we are sure they will make those goals a reality. Congratulations Erin and the entire Noon family!
